Overview
Dr. Pradip Doshi’s Hospital & Pharmaceutical Research Institute is an Ahmedabad-based healthcare institution working across homoeopathy, acupuncture, herbal medicine, naturopathy, and pharmaceutical research. The brief demanded far more than a redesigned clinic website. MTRX™ developed a complete commerce and patient-management platform from scratch, working within the operational and technical constraints of a specialized healthcare business. The result connects public education, medicine discovery, patient records, consultations, ordering, payment, and fulfilment in one purpose-built system.

The Challenge
The institute needed to replace a fragmented legacy experience with a modern platform capable of handling healthcare content, patient relationships, and direct medicine sales. An off-the-shelf WooCommerce setup would have imposed the wrong workflows and limited control over the patient journey.
The system had to support different medicine sizes and prices, stock, prescriptions, appointments, customer accounts, payments, shipping, promotions, and medical content while remaining usable for patients and manageable for the internal team.
Build the commerce experience from scratch without WooCommerce
Give staff direct control over medicines, inventory, orders, patients, and content
Provide patients with appointments, prescriptions, and order history in one account
Connect secure Razorpay payments with Shiprocket fulfilment
Work within healthcare, legacy-content, operational, and deployment constraints
The Solution
We developed the platform in React with Supabase supporting authentication, structured data, and media storage. Rather than adapting a generic store, we built the commerce journey around the institute’s actual products and patient workflows.
The custom admin system allows staff to add, edit, and remove medicines; manage categories, descriptions, images, stock, size variants, and pricing; review customers and orders; update fulfilment status; and maintain prescriptions, diseases, treatments, blogs, testimonials, coupons, and promotions.
Patients can create accounts, book appointments, review prescriptions, access their history, see past orders, and purchase medicines through a responsive storefront and cart. Promotions support percentage discounts, fixed discounts, and buy-one-get-one offers, while the checkout produces clear receipts and order records.
Razorpay order creation and signature verification run through secure backend functions. After a verified payment, order details are handed to Shiprocket for fulfilment, linking the customer checkout to the clinic’s logistics workflow. SEO controls and structured page metadata support public content while private patient dashboards remain excluded from indexing.

The Result
The final product is not a templated online store. It is a custom healthcare platform that gives the institute ownership of its catalogue, patient experience, commercial workflows, and content without depending on WooCommerce or forcing the team into generic plugins. Patients receive a clearer path from learning and consultation to prescription and purchase. The internal team can manage medicines, orders, stock, promotions, patients, and clinical content from one system, while Razorpay and Shiprocket connect payment to fulfilment. For MTRX™, it demonstrates the ability to deliver complex, constraint-heavy products from interface through backend workflow.
Client feedback
“MTRX™ understood that our requirements went far beyond a standard online store. They built a complete system around our medicines, patients, prescriptions, appointments, payments, and delivery process while keeping it practical for our team to manage. The platform gives us far more control than a template-based solution and brings our clinical and commercial work together in one place.”
